Work from bottom to top.
Apply adhesive on wall with the notch trowel; work an area of 1 square metre at a time.
Apply adhesive ("butter") to the entire back of the stone using the gauging trowel.
Press the stone firmly into the wall, enough to squeeze some adhesive around the edges.
Gaps between stone are irregular and contribute to the authentic aspect of the wall.
Using jointing mortar, fill the joint with the masonry bag. Over fill if necessary to avoid any gap between stones.
When mortar starts to set, force it into joints with your glove.
Finish the job by brushing the joints and the stone to remove loose mortar.
No sealing required.
